Are you eligible?
If most of these sound like you, you're ready to apply.
You work for a Sported network organisation or another grassroots sports group in the UK.
You work enough contracted hours each week (we'll confirm the number when you apply).
You meet the standard UK apprenticeship residency rules.
You can give at least 6 hours a week to your training.
You're up for growing your skills and using them in your role.
What are OTJ hours?
Despite the name, off-the-job training doesn't mean time away from work. It takes place within your contracted working hours, and it counts any time you're actively practising and applying the new skills you're learning on your programme. That means shadowing a colleague, using a new tool in a real project, or sitting in on a relevant meeting — it all counts. Six hours a week. Entirely within your working day.
Ready to take the next step?
Two intakes a year, July and October 2026. Fully funded, first-come, first-served.
